The Awards, hosted by the Australian Institute of Management’s Western Australia division, are the state’s premier business leadership excellent awards, recognising and rewarding outstanding organisations.
Transdev was nominated as Finalists in two categories, human resources and customer service, taking out the top award for its work in human resources, recruitment and people management.
Luke Agati, CEO of Transdev Australasia, congratulated the team on their achievement.

Bob Parton, Managing Director for Transdev Western Australia, said there had been significant efforts to improve processes and drive customer-centric solutions across the business.
“Our people are our biggest asset and we are very lucky to have such a highly-skilled, committed, and enthusiastic team,” Mr Parton said.
“Every industry is facing challenges around attracting and retaining staff at the moment, which is why through programs such as our Car to Bus Licence Upgrade Program, Heavy Vehicle Recruitment and Retention Project, and our Journey Maker Academy we’ve been able to make a tangible difference.
“Since launching in mid-2020, we’ve seen a 300% increase in the number of applicants for diesel mechanic positions which is a significant achievement.
“One of the flow on effects of setting up our people for success with the right tools, training and renumeration is a high standard of customer service.”
Transdev WA has seen significant improvements to its customer service results in 2020 and 2021, recently achieving its all-time high customer satisfaction result of 91%, as well as an improvement in the company’s overall net promoter score.
