Mana Coach Services, and its team of 100 employees, has officially been welcomed to the Transdev Australasia group of companies today, following the completion of the acquisition from Souter Investments announced in August.
The business operates a fleet of 66 buses, delivering public transport services on behalf of Greater Wellington Regional Council, and providing school and general charters.
The acquisition is Transdev Australasia’s first extension into the New Zealand bus industry, with the mobility provider currently operating bus services in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
Transdev Australasia CEO Luke Agati said the company was focused on appropriately welcoming its new employees, and ensuring a smooth transition of operations.
“We have a long history of engaging and partnering with clients and communities in New Zealand, and the addition of Mana Coach Services represents an important step in our growth journey,” Mr Agati said.
An update on the acquisition of Mana Coach Services’ sister company, Howick and Eastern, also announced in August is expected later this year.
